Hello everyone,

Wanted to let you know that Michael & I quit our govt jobs and are leaving for truck driving school with C.R. England in Salt Lake City this Monday Nov. 6, 2000.  It's something we've thought about for nearly a year and as soon as I got my 3 years in with the govt (October 27, 2000) we made our move.  We are keeping our internet service for a while, we just won't have access to it as often (maybe a couple times a month?).  So we can still communicate this way but if you have/want to reach us quicker, our cell phone number is 661-201-0923.
The school is 2.5 weeks long, then we're on the road with our driver/trainer for 20,000 miles (about 4 weeks) so we hope to be on our own before Christmas.  We're excited and really looking forward to the change although there will be some parts we might not like (aren't there with any job?).  The truck is going to be our home, especially when we get our house sold (been on the market for over 8 months) and then we may rent something small, but we're only supposed to get "home" every 28 days on average.  When we go by your areas, we'll look you up!  That's one of the reasons we're doing this, is to be able to see friends and family we NEVER get to see.

Love,
Gretchen & Michael
