Worked at the Soil and Water Testing Lab for a semester as an undergraduate doing whatever needed to be done, mostly soil texture.
That experience, using the word soils, on my resume has gotten me numerous jobs .
After graduation from NMSU with a Bachelors in Biology I moved to Hawaii for 4 years where I worked in environmental education, aquaculture research and the tourist industry taking people snorkeling, parasailing, hiking, boogie boarding and jet skiing. I have also held down quite a few waitressing jobs.
After Hawaii I worked at the Jornada Experimental Range for a year while applying to graduate schools where I eventually went to Utah State University to attain my masters in Fisheries and Wildlife.
Currently I work at White Sands Missile Range for a environmental consulting firm where I mostly write NEPA documentation and conduct wildlife surveys. I also coach the Mayfield High School girls varsity soccer team.
